Fascism builds it's power on the resources accumulated by the older generation, while taking steps to ensure the older generation are not taken care of.
Only the older people have the power to affect political change based on long-term outlooks.
They have the gift of insight, and recognize tyranny for what it is... and they are amongst the most victimized by fascism.
