Calling All Africans! Tonight unless we heed the call, we will witness the greatest transfer of wealth out of the hands of Africans in the Northeast that has occurred since perhaps the destruction of the Black United Fund by Eliot Spitzer in 2003.
Tonight, a turncoat board at The Adelaide L. Sanford Charter School has placed on their agenda the firing of Fredrica Bey. Sister Fredrica is the C.E.O. and founder of the school and the founder of (Wisommm) Women in Support of the Milllion Man March, the organization out of which the school was born.
This disaster was blocked last month by a strong Community turn out and disruption of a so called Executive session this turncoat board tried to hold in the Black community. Tonight the turncoats have moved their scheduled meeting out of the Black community and into the White Portuguese section of Newark where they believe they will be safer.
In between the meetings they also used a legal technicality to kick Dr. Leonard Jeffries a member loyal to the vision of Sister Fredrica Bey off the board. (Dr. Jeffries did not get a Background check due by December 31, 2011.) Now with Jeffries out of the way and meeting in their master's territory they are prepared to return what they see as their masters property back to their master.
They have formally notified Sister Bey that they will go into executive session --with a White lawyer they have hired-- to discuss her future employment. Sister Bey has said that, if this board, as they have threatened, pull the school from under the WISOMMM banner the financial stability of WISOMMM will crumble and the more than $9 million of real estate owned by WISOMMM will be taken away from its Black owners and returned to White people who already own all the other prime real estate in this heavily Black populated city.
